Public Records form. It normally takes
two or three working days to
process the request. Accident reports are normally available two to

I received a parking ticket in Cedarburg, now what do I do?
You have several options.
- If you
wish to pay the citation you may do so in person or by mail to the Cedarburg Police Department. The
fine information is located on the back of the citation. Depending
on how long you wait to pay the ticket will decide how much you have
to pay. Effective October 2008, you may
now pay parking citations with credit or debit cards through
Government Payment Services at
www.GovPayNOW.com or
1-888-604-7888.
Pay Location Code (PLC) is 6329. For additional information on GPS, please see "What's New" on CPD website. Additional fees are applicable for this
service.
- The second option is that you may
contest the parking ticket by clicking on
"Contest Parking Ticket"
on the left side of this page. Upon receipt
and review of the completed form a decision will be made to
determine whether the circumstances warrant the dismissal of your
parking ticket. You will be contacted
either by phone, e-mail or letter as to the decision on the citation. If it is
dismissed, no further action is needed on your part. However, if it
is decided that your citation will not be dismissed, you will have five
days from the date of notification to pay the original amount of the
citation. Failure to pay for the citation will result in a
suspension of your vehicle registration.
- The third option
you have is to request a court date. You may contact our department to
request a date Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm. You will need to give us
your name, address, and Citation #. You will then be sent a follow-up
letter regarding your traffic court date with an appearance before
the Municipal Court judge. You may chose to plead no
contest, guilty or not guilty. If you plead not guilty, you will be
given a pre-trial date at our department, which is a mandatory
appearance. You will be given a time to meet with the City Attorney
and the court officer to attempt reach a disposition on the matter.
If you fail to appear in court or at your pre-trial hearing, this will result in a guilty / default
judgment against you.
