Block Parent Program
The City of Cedarburg's Block Parent Program,
sponsored by the Cedarburg Junior Woman’s Club and administered by the
Cedarburg Police Department, is an invaluable service developed to provide
temporary refuge for a child during an emergency situation.
Children should be instructed to go to a location displaying a “Block Parent” sign if faced with a medical emergency, a physical injury, an act of violence, a suspicious or threatening situation, etc. In turn, “Block Parents” will immediately contact the appropriate police or rescue agency, as well as the child’s parents. Persons interested in serving as a “Block Parent”, should contact CPD’s juvenile officer.
